Richard, I will explain soon how to paint marble. It's not so difficult at it seems. It will be a good treath for 'Articles'. I'll ask my boss Marc what he thinks. :-) greatings

    My little helper

Just finished this one. Say hello to 'Little-long-legs-Sally'. The flesh is done in pastel chalk like John Reid explained it to us. Diobox 90mm and 1:1 I poured my hand in raisin after casting it in latex. Now I'm bold one my right hand.

    Cat-a-phonia (in progress)

This is a scene for a 120mm, hanging diobox. Inspired by this organ of the Weingarten Basilika, a lot of cats will 'sing' a cantata. The organ player will also be dressed as a cat (tiger). The base and pillars are made of PVC-plastic card of 1mm. The painting of the marble is in Alcyd paint...

    Charles A.J. Flahaut(1)

Very good work Sam. Tip: paint a few layers ( 5 - 6 or more) clear, satin varnish mixed with a touch of white oilpaint over the marble. You will see that it will shine like real. All the best

    jeanne d'arc - finished

Marc, I would like to, but there are 2 raisons why I'm in doubt to do so. First, there wasn't a lot of interest for my second treath of 'La pucelle d'Orlean' and second, is such an item suitable for this forum? Buiding houses and stuff like that is not exactly making figures. People also...

Thanks for the references Sergey, good for anyone who likes to build cathedrals and castles. The only difference with my work is that I use soft PVC (Polyvinylchloride) plastic sheet and that I pour in raisin (PU=Polyurathane). Are there any models you made? Some are extremely splendid carryd...

Thanks John & diosytexas. Waith till you see the diobox inspired by this one Marc, not for tomorrow, I have to do some paintings for the moment. much larger than 'Joan' and more colourful (rococo style). Out of the pipes of the organ will come 'music', I think the Nutcracker suite or...

    Napoleon I

Nice work Marcel. I did some photoshop with the eyes. If you add a bit of putty under the upper eyelid, I think the eye problem is solved. Good painting!

Thanks for the nice words, all of you. The leg: I don't think there is anything wrong, because I work with pre-shaped raisin parts. I think it's because the leg is bended and it are front pictures. Look at this picture:
