Not sure I understand your question but I'll take a shot at it :) I think it means the same thing as looking at what you're wearing before you go out of the house in the morning. Kind of a plaid shirt/checked pants thing. If the piece allows you the freedom of choice for the colors you'll use...

I also did this piece quite a few years ago and really liked it. Your work on the face looks great. Based on photos of that re-enactor, I replaced the kit feathers with a home made comb to match him. Looking forward to seeing you progress. Craig

Hi Dave, My cut off on size is single 0. Never thought to look at the prices on anything higher. 0, 00 & 000 weren't bad to me but I factor in my view of their quality. Any bigger and I look at lesser quality.

Anyone else notice that Winsor Newton Series 7 are available again? I just completed an order to replenish my stock. Not every one of my normal sources listed them as available but a chance look at Dick Blick/Utrech sites showed them again. Dick Blick even had the miniature sizes that I prefer.

Hi Samson. I have several of these vises and love them. The trick I came up with was to make a stand for them. Good news is that it's really easy and very inexpensive. I bought a wood post cap from the local lumber store and 5/16" coarse thread bolt (1" to 1 1/2" long should be good enough), 2...
