Thanks Kieth and Dave... I have to be honest...I suprised myself on this guy, too. A couple new techniques really worked out well. Especially the leather; I used a mix of Raw Umber and Burnt Sienna as the base. To that I mixed a touch of liquin to give it the sheen of leather. I highlighted...

Matt, Yep, trust me, this is a Verlinden piece... I think if we take a step back, not every head fit in every helmet, and who is to say that he didn't lose his supporting an assault, and picked up the next one he saw...I dunno, but really think it's the way I have it sitting on his head...
