Dragging a captured gun 1917 Fortunino Matania shadowbox diorama

Hi All, Thanks for all yr gracious comments. I got lucky with this piece. The scratchbuilt gun was surprisingly quite easy to construct. I used a number of scalelink bodies and accessories here. I like this old make of figures. Also used airfix and Tamiya figs as well. Rgds Victor.

Dragging a captured gun 1917 Fortunino Matania shadowbox diorama

What a long title. One of several titles for this ptg by an excellent WWI artist. His work output was prodigious and he drew from memory. Anyway, here is my rendition in approx 1/32 scale, gun was scratchbuilt. Hope y all like it. Rgds Victor

    Charles Russell Buffalo Hunt nr40

Hi all Thanks for yr gracious comments. The starting point was a 1/30 scale Historex horse up front. The bisons were simple castings made from several sculpted masters and heavily converted with airfix and Historex horse legs. The art frame is A3. Rgds Victor

Yes. My understanding is that the crupper is another strap to securely hold the saddle in place. Tx.

    HISTOREX animation

Historex is tops for me. Slim elegant figures which has a charm of their own or outstanding when fully converted. This is their house style Metal modeles are very stout elegant figures, their house style. Victor

    Polish Cavalry from Young Miniatures

I’m no expert but I typed in Polish winged hussar helmet. Practically almost all the images showed the nasal piece with the visor covering (protecting) the face. Only one image of a similar Young bust showed this upended nasal piece. Presumably the nasal piece could be slotted either way for...
