Having sculpted and researched the figure, I must agree with Eduardo. Today, i am convinced that the tunic not only had black facings (collar AND cuffs) but that it is, in fact, a converted British Rifles Officer's tunic. So, the color would be Dark Green with black facings and silver buttons...

Saw this one in person at the SCAHMS show. It looked even better in person. The face is a portrait of John's son - who i had not seen since he was just a boy. Where did all that time go? Great piece!
