    Silent no more

I've been really quiet lately because both my husband and I have been laid-off of work. You'd think I would have all the time in the world the past three months. In order to have some income, I kicked my miniature painting business into high gear. War Horse Miniatures started better than I...

    Thundertusk!

Sorry I've been so quiet but I've been painting like crazy. My Thundertusk is finally finished! So check out the Ebay auction! Tell your friends and pass the word. Christmas is right around the corner! The body was painted with dry pigments allowing me to get a variety of rich color tints yet...

    Busy, busy, busy...

Sorry for no updates lately. I haven't been able to paint much. I'm working on getting the business going. Writing a business plan is really time consuming! I've also gone back to school and am finishing up my Bachelors in IT. I'm specializing in Digital Investigations. While a lot of work...

    WIP Critique Horse

Thanks Gordy and Silviu. Well it was a bunch of hurry up and wait. I took him to a minor care center because I wanted him to have x-rays just to be on the safe side. The good news, nothing wrong with the bone, it's a bad sprain. But I do have to make an appointment with the ortho on Monday. So...

    WIP Critique Horse

Thanks for the buzz Gordy! Silviu, this new one is looking fantastic! You've got tons of improvement! In fact, you are very, very close. There are just a couple of key points where you're off just a smidge, and that's throwing you off on other points. I have to go get my son - he twisted his...

    WIP Critique Pegaso Roaming Knight

Well, here's the sad news and where it stands now. I need to figure out how to fix it now.

    Should I glue...before selling?

Thanks Denes! I had to read it three times to get it, but then I realized the premise is the same as the zip ties on kids toys that drive you nuts on Christmas morning. Depending on the situation, the zip ties might even work. One thing we do in the model horse hobby is mummy-wrap the horse...

    Jo Sonja paint question ?

My apologies, let me clarify my previous statement. The Jo Sonia colors that I have tried have been low pigment value. Maybe it was just the colors I selected, it's been awhile back and I don't remember exactly which ones they were, but they were enough that I didn't buy any more. Maybe I just...

    Should I glue...before selling?

The sad thing is, I don't know which one to scold. They very rarely jump up on the table because they know death will be hot on their furry heels. I haven't had to get after a cat for almost a month now. *groan* :p Careful or I'll recruit you to help me fix him. lol!

    Lone Star Military Miniature Society

Awww man! I didn't know about this! I would have tried to make it. It's a bit of a stretch from Beaumont but very do-able. As long as Houston isn't flooded. The last time I drove to San Marcos, I-10 went under water near I-45. That was a nightmare! When is the next one? I'll see if I can make it.

    Jo Sonja paint question ?

Skull white isn't a primer - it's actually paint. Jo Sonja paint has a lower pigment value than higher quality acrylics. So between the two you're going to have fits. For primers, I like Tamiya Fine Spray Primer, but right now you can't get it in the States, so I've been using Vallejo...

    Should I glue...before selling?

Hey guys! Thanks so much for all of the great replies! I have packed my resin horses for shipment - and yes, I double-box, but this is the first time I've got one with bits and pieces hanging all over it. I just cringe when I look at it. I was originally planning to leave the rider separate...

    Should I glue...before selling?

Okay, thanks Carl! I'll just have to make sure I pack it to the hilt so it doesn't break. Thanks again! Cheers, Karrie

Hi Sergey, did you find out about CC Now? I'm sorry I missed this, but I still would love to get one of these. I will try to find your email. I may resort to send you a PM on this message board. ;) But I'll look around and see. Cheers, Karrie

    Should I glue...before selling?

Heya gang! Okay, throwing this down here again because I'm thinking of selling my Pegaso Roaming Knight on Ebay(he's sooooo close to being done - so hopefully final pics soon). More than likely he won't sell, but just in case he does, how much should I glue on and how much should I leave for...

Sorry! I just corrected my post as I made a mistake. You were probably in the middle of replying to it when I made the correction. It was CCNow, I paid through not paypal. Sorry! :D I don't know the details of CCNow but it may be worth exploring.
