Great job Carl and the puppy is soooo cute!

Open Book Andrea Miniatures: Son of The Morning Star

Thanks for the review Andrew. The only major problem I see is that horse is almost in a "founder" stance. It's legs appear as if they are spread apart awkwardly. Is it the sculpt or a casting issue or perhaps the model was exposed to heat? I guess there's no way to tell for certain. Maybe they...

Filler and a few other questions.

Also Coolminiornot has a section in their shop for bases and you can get some nice ones that won't break the bank.

    Completed What is your opinion

You're very welcome! If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm going to have to wait on the pictures. I'm on my laptop right now and all I have is the touch pad. I cannot draw on the touch pad. lol! My horse was looking more like a dog. ;) I'll be on my desktop tomorrow and will be...

    Completed What is your opinion

I'll do my best to help but I don't understand 1/32 is higher than a male? In the model horse hobby we have models that are 1/32 scale, they are called Stablemate Scale for the most part. The best of course is to take measurements from a real horse. If you don't have access to one, a...

    Completed What is your opinion

Maybe I can help you with the horse. First, you need to find a good photo or two of a real horse close to the same position, that will help you get the proportions right. The chest needs to be larger as well as the heart girth (the ribs right behind the front legs). Trim down the belly and the...

WIP Critique Marwari Stallion - commission piece equine resin

Thank you gordy! I've gotten a number of compliments on that mortar and pestle, it seems that very few are made of stainless steel. I like it because the pigments don't stain it. I'll be doing more work on this guy this weekend too. :D

    WIP Critique Pegaso Roaming Knight

I bet you thought I forgot about this guy. Nope, I've been working and working. I really can multi-task. ;) Old Blue is back! Why did he vanish for so long? Remember I was trying to age the tack. Well, unfortunately, I had a number of false starts. I tried using pigments to weather...

Completed Critique Chaos Knight 72mm Limited Edition

I've been moving right along on this guy. I should be able to post more pics of him soon. But I worked on his shield and did a small experiment with the metallics with interesting results. Unfortunately, it is still quite difficult to photograph. I mixed up some dark, dark brown paint for a...

    Completed More WWII oldies:

Hi Mike, Although you have improved the photos tremendously, they still have that yellowish cast from the lighting - so that's probably continuing the contrast issues rather than the actual finishwork. But I had an idea that might work until you can change out the bulbs. Did you say you...

Okay I searched like crazy and the only thing I found that does not require an admin is what I listed above. Is anyone else with a Mac using Safari having this trouble? They mention on the forums it's possible the error problem is in your ISP's cache. Depending on their customer service, it...

Check the size of your pictures - they may be too large. You can also clear your browser cache, close the browser completely then come back and try it again. I'm over on the vbulletin forums searching. lol! So I'll update as I find stuff. ;)

    Chevalier XVIs. Painting.

Is this part of the knight you showed before? I need to dig that post up so I can remember the scale. But look that it this way. Little horse, less hair to detail. Bigger horse MORE hair to detail. ;)

Completed Critique Chaos Knight 72mm Limited Edition

Thank you Ray! Well you, Carl, and I are all on the same wavelength and it's fantastic! I'm still having trouble getting the color right but changing out from the blue paper towels to the white helped a lot. I guess it was too much blue for my camera. It still wants to take the skin...

Thank you so much, Carl! You know, you just stated what I was thinking about deeper shadows on the cloak. Thanks for verifying that for me! :D I'll definitely take them darker as soon as I can. Thank you again. I'm so glad you like him. Cheers, Karrie
