    WIP Judge Anderson

Hello all! The figure is finished. I changed the position of the left arm because she seemed to me a little stiff with just the one arm crossed. I also added a base, mainly for practical reasons to to with molding & casting but it also provides a nice support for it. I had great fun sculpting...

    WIP Judge Anderson

Good morning all, these are the latest photos of the figure. I've sculpted the boots, roughed out the knee pads and the belt/pouches & laid out some markers for the wrinkles in the trousers. In the photos she's leaning too much to the left but I think this is because I've not pinned her on a...

Thank you, Dekiman! My favorite comic/bande dessinée artist is Jacques Tardi. He has done a lot of First World War stuff (a favourite subject of mine), various adaptations & has created a wonderful character called Adèle Blanc-Sec which I hope to sculpt one of these days. All the best, Elia

I looked him up after reading your reply. The only versions I could find are in Italian & Serbo-Croatian but I don't speak either language.

Thank you, Dekiman! I will have to look up Alan Ford, I've never heard of him. All the best, Elia

    WIP Judge Anderson

Hello Vital, I'm not trying to do an exact copy of Judge Anderson as she appears in the comics, just my version of her in 3D. After all, an exact copy would be almost impossible given the number of artists that have drawn her! So the aim is not to sculpt a generic female figure but a specific...

    Definitelly, especially that Stallone horror!

    WIP Judge Anderson

Hello all, As a big fan of the Judge Dredd universe I thought I'd have a go at one of my favourite charavters, Judge Cassandra Anderson. I have only used the comics as reference (I choose to ignore the films ). The drawings greatly exaggerate the shoulder pads (plain one on left side, eagle on...

    Female bust in Chavant

Hello all, I have just completed this small bust of an old(ish) woman in Chavant (height: 7cm). It started as a female French Revolutionary - the equivalent of a sans-culotte - but once I started adding the hair it quickly turned into something else. So I sculpted some wrinkles to make her look...

I'll add the quiver & bolts, the hook for drawing the bow and possibly. Based on past experience, I think these details will make moulding more difficult so I prefer to add them later rather than have to do a lot of work cleaning the figure after moulding. All the best, Elia :)

    WIP Female stealth warrior

Hello all, I've finally finished the figure a few weeks ago but only got to taking a couple of pictures today. Certain details will be added in epoxy putty to the final figure (i.e. after moulding and casting). As always, comments are welcome. All the best, Elia :)

Yes, it can be really frustrating - I can't tell you how many times I measured the leg and the foot! :arghh: On the other hand it's a good way to spot mistakes. All the best, Elia :)

Thank you for your comments, Ookami, Gary and Mark. @Ookami: I'm using the 8-head proportion system and an estimated height of the 1,70 m, so the scale is about 1/8. Standing up the figure would be 21 cm. @Gary: I remember watching the fight with the skeletons in Jason and the Argonauts on a...

Hello everyone, the figure is progressing. It's the first time I'm doing this pose so it takes a lot of looking at myself in the mirror in order to get it right. So far it's proving to be a good challenge and - also important - fun to sculpt. Following Mark's comment (thank you!) I changed...
