i did buy some smaller brushes other than the filbert brushes. i used vallejo, andrea and games workshop, but did not find them to suit me well. i will give them another go when i increase my skilles. so for the shadows, i should use a small amount of brown, with some red(?) and grey.

thanks carl, i have bookmarked that. maybe my problem was that i was using too big of a brush and should go with a smaller one, such as s no. 1 round.

i am a student. went to primary school, them middle and now in year 11 (senior school). i HATE aussie rules football even though i am aussie, but love to watch NFL or college (cowboys fan). yet to find a job

the original figure that is on the box is in my LHS. i was there today and the owner said that the guy who painted it is a local (here in singapore, where i live). he has it in a glass case. i couldn't believe it.

ill post some progress photos at each stage so i can get directions and some suggestions from you guys.

so I'm thinking of an olive green with a yellow (what is they appropriate type) and a chocolate brown as suggested before by carl. all blended with a beige or buff wash. for the leather smock i will use a brick and primer red, wash brown, light and dark rust, shadow brown from mig abteilung 502...

thanks for the reply and suggestion. i am switching over to oils to try them out for a bit as they look easier to use and blend in. i will gt another one of these and have another go to make it better hopefully.

yes, i would love that. i am thinking about getting another one and having another go, hopefully better this time. i am still quite pleased with it though being my first. do you guys have skype? would it maybe be easier to do it this way?
