Here is the completed first figure. I am not sure about the M44 pattern on the trousers. The right knee area looks odd to me. It reminds me of the those color vision test with the dots and the numbers. I am color blind and when I look at them I get lost. I had the same lost feeling painting...

Thanks gentlemen for the comments. Mike it has been a coons age. I started painting again a couple of months ago. I am enjoying it, so I hope to keep up the momentum.

I have a different camera, so I tried to get some better pictures of this figure. Not sure if it helped much.

I got the face painted on this figure today. I used a different method than I have used before. I blocked in the highest highlights and darkest shadows first. Then I "wet blended the base into the two extremes. I liked the way it turned out, so I will try that method again.

Here is my latest piece. It is from Mantis Miniatures. The white gave me a fit. It was a fun piece to do, but the details seemed really small. My eyes maybe better suited for 120mm. The scene is scratch built. I hope you like it. Rusty

Nap, For the whites it is all acrylic, Panzer Aces German White Tank Crew for the base, Vallejo Off White / White highlights and German Grey for the shadows.

Well after not painting for well over a year, I decided to give it a try again. I really enjoyed sitting down and giving it a go. It is going to take me a while to get comfortable painting. It feels like am starting over. Let me know what you think. Rusty
