I see that there are binders for the Vallejo pigments. Are those really necessary?

I'll definitely try the Mars Black. I found some old painting notes from Phil Kessling and he used several of the Mars versions of colors.

Fantastic! The various material renderings, especially the leather, are superb!

I worked on the Winchester and made some progress with my first-ever foray into black clothing. The sheen of the Lamp Black oil paint was so strong it was hard to tell whether the shading and highlighting was "right". After applying a matte varnish I can see that work needs to be done...

    Spring BRAVO-6 news

Very nicely done. I especially like the treatment of the hand holding the rifle, a lifelike touch not often seen.

Faces have always been problematic for me and so I avoid getting started on them and then when I do, I worry them to death. That's just what I did with this, my first face in 20+ years. The 54mm size and the lack of a decent sculpt around the eyes didn't help and my phone's not too hot camera...

I agree with other comments: great job on the face. Sure wish I could get such a result. I'm looking forward to seeing this progress.

    New Release from Tin-Berlin

Nice relaxed arms on this one. Many figures have the elbows lifted far too high.

Amazing vintage and more collection from US modeller - Mr SCOTT W MILLER

Seeing those Stadden's brought back memories. I was fortunate to have lived outside of London for a few years in my early teens (the ate 1960s) and, inspired by Major R.L. Rowe's marvelous miniature display at Woburn Abbey, would often take the train into town and pick uo some pieces at the...

    QMHE 2023 figures

Lots of gorgeous work there! Thanks for posting this. Does anyone know if the "Officer 23rd Royal Welsh Fusiliers 1811" seen at 1:39 (and later) is a stock figure? If so, who makes it?

Prussian Ensign Standard Bearer of 2°Regiment of Infantry, 1756

What a neat figure. Love that it's a 54 and it gives me a nostalgic feeling in that the face reminds me of some of the old Phoenix pieces.

After recently completing and posting about my first figure in over twenty years (https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/first-figure-in-20-years.622344/), I decided to have a go at another grey army member, a conversion I’d started long ago. It’s a 54mm figure representing Lee Marvin’s evil...
