Iqaluit is on Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic. It is on the East coast right above the province of Quebec and to the west of Greenland. It is at the 63rd parallel 200 km south from the Arctic Circle. Here is a map from the Canadian Weather Service where you will be able to see the location...

Nice work Glen. If I may though a little more attention to the blue would be good. A few glaze of your base color would help solidify your transition and make them smoother. For the cuts on the shield try to place a really thin black line at the the top of them and a white one (again really...

Quite a nice job indeed! I have to agree with the snow. He looks like he just landed from the sky. I do not know which product you are using for the snow but it would be interesting to lightly taint it at a few spot just to give it more texture. If i may add I think that the helmet would deserve...

The face of the kids is a base of Basic Skintone VGC shadowed with different degrees of Dark Flesh VGC and Liche Purple VGC. The highlights vary from Light Flesh VGC, Ivory VMC and pure white for the final touch everything solidify with a few glaze of Sunny Skin Tone VMC. By the way VMC =...

    Work Area

Here is my work station... Pretty basic and messy! I am actually living in Iqaluit in the Canadian Arctic. Since I am here on a temporary basis (10 more months), I did not want to invest in it since that investment would be lost! Will get more organize and wider as soon as I move back south!

Hi Guy, Thanks for the comments. Do not worry snow is on its way! As you can see the base is not done yet so the rest of the model will be snowed in at the same time!

There is a glaze of brown both on the pants and the boots which are absorbed by the dominant color. I just bought my camera and need to go through the manuel fonction for the next pictures. First historical mini yes but I have a few fantastic mini under my belt as well... So it is not my first...

Thank you Maurizio. Having the sculptor of this wonderful piece comments is a real honour. And I agree that the eyes need to be retouched. It is actually the first thing I saw looking at the pictures. Thanks.

The picture over emphasize the highlights therefore the pants look more white... same for the jacket, the blue highlight is not that pronunced! Thanks!

Hello to everyone! Here is my first historical mini ever. Your comments and critics are more than welcome. With this oversize pictures I see a lot of things to correct... But still your point of view is welcome. By the way, sorry, the picture is sligthly over exposed! Thanks

    My latest busts

I must admit being highly surprised for someone who started 3 months ago. But if I may I find the hands of the templar akward. Everything is excellent and crisp except those two hands! Yeah I know hands are the hardest! Keep up with the good work!
