    Andrea's 7th Cavalry Trooper's

Hi Jazz, Thanks for the compliments. I've been working on this figure on and off for the last three months. I have the attention span of a three-year old and always have too many projects going on. Post some pictures of your trooper and Apache, I'd like to see them. Russ

    Andrea's 7th Cavalry Trooper's

Hi all, This is one of Andrea's 7th Cavalry Trooper's. Nice figure, picked it up for like five bucks out of a hobby shop used figure box. Here are a few pics of my progress, sorta lame, took them with my Iphone. Russ

    Making 54mm arrows?

I'm working on one of Andrea's 54mm 7th Cavalry troopers and I want to put a few stray arrows on the base. I've tried brass rod and paper but the only result I get is the insatiable desire to drink heavily! In other words, no luck. Any ideas/hints/tips on cobbling together a few arrows? Thanks...

    where do you live?

I live in the Chicago area — Wheaton to be exact, but know absolutely no one who is a figure painter. In fact, I don’t even know any modelers. There are more than enough clubs around here — IPMS, AMPS and MMSI, but they all meet on either Friday night (MMSI) or Saturday morning. Unfortunately...

    Undercoating for oils

Thanks! Thanks for the info guys! I've been using acrylics but a friend suggested enamels. I thought I'd toss the question out there and see what people had to say. Thanks!

    Acrylics Palette...

Hello All, What does everyone use for a palette for acrylics? I kinda use whatever - soda bottle caps mainly, these tend to be a bit wasteful paint-wise. Any suggestions? Thanks. ~Russ

    German MP-28 Ammo pouch info

Does anyone have a good, clear picture/illustration of an ammunition pouch for a German MP-28 Sub-Machine Gun? I've been poking around on Google and have come across several images, but they're all different. I'm cobbling together a late war SS Polizei Officer (1/35) armed with an MP-28 and I...

    Hey there...

Hi guys, My name is Russ Hammond and I've been here for a while just reading the posts and checking out everyone's work. I've been a modeler for 40 years (I'm 48), the last seven or eight figures only. I'm into 54's (Medieval, ACW WWI, WWII and Modern) and GW/oddball game stuff. I'm mainly an...
