    Masterbox (Ukraine) - News

This works for me. I'll be getting one. The only caveat is that be aware the seams in their other fantasy kits can be a real bear to deal with. This one could be the same. Lots of putty and various grades of sandpaper. Still, the price will be right and the scale won't dwarf what space on the...

    Pegaso 75mm resin figures

Let's hear it for the gray army! You're right, John, the details on resin figures like Scale 75 and Nocturna these days is incredible. Back in the day (mid-to-late 80s)(Yes, I am an old guy!), the detail on metal figures was superior to the resin figures then. There's been such an amazing...

    Pegaso 75mm resin figures

While I understand that cast metal gives sharp definition of details, I do prefer resin for its lighter weight and ease of drilling for assembly. Not that I don't have metal figures (it's called a 'gray army' for a reason!).

    Toro Model (Poland) - News

I'm always on the lookout for civilian figures. These look interesting and well-priced.

    Occupations

Owned a retail clothing business for five years which ruined Christmas for me for many, many years. Was involved with brokering real estate for seven years. Became civil servant for twenty-seven years and retired January 2016 - burned-out, stressed-out and disgusted at the direction the...

    Nice! White metal or resin?

    IRBIS in Kulmbach

I like the standing miner; a sluice box in a stream beside him would look cool.

    Completed Critique Berdan sharpshooter

I see what you mean about the left hand - it looks awkward. It might need some tweaking or re-sculpting. I'll take a look when mine shows up.

    Completed Critique Berdan sharpshooter

Very nice work. I have this coming, but I wasn't that enamored by the tree in the photos of the kit. I like what you did to make it more realistic. How'd you find the fit and overall aspect of the kit?

    Worster 120mm resin heads

Update: Ben, on 'evil bay' there's two Verlinden 120mm head sets, each has one with an open mouth. 'Lotsofmodels' has set 465 for $17.95 (free shipping) and 'Dragon-Hobby' has set 681 $26.95 plus $4.71 shipping. Maybe these will help. Jim

    Worster 120mm resin heads

Ben, if I remember correctly, 'The Lost Battalion' had the Worster figures and heads. They used to have a website, but it was 'new website coming soon' for a couple of years and never came back. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. You might check on 'Evil Bay' for them. There are...

    The Death Dealer (Take two)

Nice work! I'm still fussing with mine, getting the seams dealt with. Same issue with the cloak/cape. I broke out the Aves Apoxie Sculpt and re-sculpted the area around the neck and shoulders. Thanks for the tip about the sword's chains; I'll see what I can do with mine. The horse gets a...

    The Bodi - News

I like the figures, except...the 'muffin tops'. Photos I've seen of Marines who've been in action and seen what these guys are supposed to have experienced have very little body fat. I don't expect chiseled 'six-packs' like some fantasy swordsman. I suppose the Marine carrying the pistol is...

    The Death Dealer

I'm tackling the Moebius 'Death Dealer'. Invest in your favorite seam-filling putty, because, even using something like Tenex-7, the seams on the horse are horrific. The seams on the figure go through the chain mail (I suppose it is) and the plate armor on the legs - good luck re-sculpting...

    World Expo 2017 - Pics

Thanks so much for posting those for those of us who are 'Facebook-wary'. Okay, it's official: after going through the incredible work - I QUIT! Chop my hands off at the wrists and give me hooks.

Pics from World Expo 2017, Chicago

Thanks for all the efforts to get photos that aren't on (shudders) 'Facebook'. I have a rant against 'Facebook', but I won't do it here - it's well-known how much I detest it. Thank you, again. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

    Ruff Trade - found article

Del: I have to photos that I can't seem to copy here. If you want, I can email them to you that show the completed, but unpainted figure. Is there a way to PM you via this site? I looked for a membership list, but couldn't find one - but then, at my age, the eyes aren't what they used to be -...

    Ruff Trade - found article

Del - This is so very old, I'm sure you've completed the project, but I finally found Alan's description on creating the ruff for the Tulip Guard. I think it was an article in either TimeLines or an older figure discussion page whose name escapes me now - hazards of getting to be a senior...
