    MFCA Pictures

MFCA Show It was great to see all of the enties in the competition at the show. I was, however, put off by a few things. There didn't seem to be the same number of vendors providing supplies and there seemed to be a large number of toy soldier-type vendors versus military miniatures. Also...

    Moving Miniatures

Folks, We are going to be moving in the future and will have to spend some time in a temporary apartment with the bulk of our belongings going into storage. I am not going to entrust my 38 miniatures and two diramas to the movers for storage. What would you suggest as a good, safe means...

Poll: What do you want from a model show?

I would very much like to see more "how to's" at the shows. Books and articles can only do so much. I do like th opportunity to see the work of other people and to buy some hard-to-find items. Brian

    Frustration

Thank you all for your suggestions and encouragement. I take it from the suggestions about blending that simply blending where the colors meet is doable on a 54mm figure. It seems when I attempt this, I get more than the edges belnded. What is a good tool to use when blending at this scale...

    Frustration

Craig, My problem seems to be in blending the different shades. I simply can't get the faces to look right as far as the blending. Actually, it's the same story with the clothing - Blending. I like the 54mm size because they are easier for me to display. When I use oils, then try to...

    Frustration

I have been painting figure in ernest, for about seven years. I go to the annual show in Valley Forge, PA. I have bought many books showing how to paint in oils, acrylics, and enamels. I have a DVD from Andrea on how to paint figures. I have been practicing and have painted numerous figures...

    Comments on Work

Thank you all again for the commetns. I will take them to heart. I'm still considering returning to enamels as they seem to capture the best of acrylics and oils. They dry slower than acrylics therfore allowing time to blend but they dry faster than oils. I'll keep experimenting and posting...

    Comments on Work

Thank you for the comments. I used oils on this with enamels for the metalics. I might go back to enamels though because they don't seem to cake like oils. I thought I had put all of the pictures on one thread. Could you tell me (in detail) how to do that> Thanks again. Brian

I was told in an earlier question that one can't place more than one picture on a posting without some special equipment. Is this true? Brian
