Between Projects: what do you do?

Figure painting has largely replaced my previous hobby of playing PC games, as such I tend to spiral into a gloomy/empty mood whenever I don't have an active project going so I usually jump straight into the next one.

    Review Yoshii Toranaga VS Samurai

I'd buy it. As someone who's only knowledge of Samurai comes from playing Nobunaga's Ambition and Shogun Total War and is currently trying to tackle his first Japanese figures I really appreciate these postings. The grip on Toranaga is definitely a big bummer because it's impossible to correct...

Visigoth Foederati Catalaunian Plains, 451 AD FER

Nice, esp. that eagle fibula which is very distinctly Visigothic

    ALTORES STUDIO

Great! I saw at Berliner Zinnfiguren that you now also have the formerly Revolution Oda Nobunaga.

    German Knight, 1350-1370 AD

Thanks! There are no sources on what this specific knight wore, I just picked green. Brigandines like that would come dyed in a variety of colours.

English knight. Battle of Poitiers from Panzerart

Same story here. Ordered three figures more than a month ago but they were never shipped and E-Mails won't get a response. At the same time they seem to be able to do Facebook updates.

    German Knight, 1350-1370 AD

Hello My latest effort. It's a 75mm resin by Mercury Models. Arms of Johann Flach Freiherr von Reischach, a Swabian Baron who was active as a Condottiere for various factions in Italy between 1356 and 1382. Happy weekend everyone Cyrill

    Dismounted Knight, 1375-1425 AD

Thanks. I don't think so, but that would be an interesting figure to paint in larger scale.

I will definitely be getting that Jan Zizka figure. Great stuff.

    Stripping paint off resin figures?

On another note, the stuff works quite well for degluing resin, almost as well as acetone on metal. Just gotta be careful with it. Currently at it again, scraping primer out of mail rings is just the worst...

    Dismounted Knight, 1375-1425 AD

Hello Peter, I saw yours on Putty & Paint and took notes, though your fleshwork is beyond my skill. The straps are still unpainted in the box and I'm still unsure if I should use them because they'd obscure the sheen of the breastplate which I really like on this one :)

Hey all This is 75mm resin from Tin Berlin Arms of the Von Sternberg (Szternberk), vassals of the Bohemian Crown - they provided mercenaries for the Polish in the Battle of Grunwald 1410 and later also fought for Emperor Sigismund in the Hussite Wars. -Cyrill
