Update, I mounted the Kar rifle and the tripod. Started painting the steel grenades. Still need to do the binoculars and the gunslingers. And of course his fur in the parka hoodie.

Did a couple of sessions on the parka and on the front leather straps. Next on is the tripod carrier. I will finish this in the characteristic yellow, with red primer underneath and with my airbrush. Tomorrow i will post some pics in daylight the colours you see on the photos are not 100% accurate.

Doing some work on the front side of the parka. Slowly getting there. I think it is turning out quite well.

The rifle was airbrushed in a desert tone and the grain was hand painted with model color mahogany bronw. After that i painted with brown and orange tones to soften the grain. The metals were done in dark gray with a wash of pure black. I did the highlights with a normal school pencil. the parka...

I use vallejo. And imwill use the andrea range for the parka they have a set of 6 colors for the traditional german green grey and are very matt. Greetz John.

This could be my all time favorite WWII buste. Second one I am painting, trying to get the maximum out of it. Face and helmet done I think. Helmet done with the hairspray technique. Helmet signs painted with the hand. All in acrylics. Hope its going the right way.....?:) Greetz John.
