    New Scale75

...and it reminds me of this: http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/rosie.28685/ Nevertheless, I'm glad the background bits are included. I'm adding it to my wants list (the first one this year). Cheers, Glen

    New Scale75

Very nice. X2 on the parts. I'm not an expert on Steampunk by any stretch of the imagination, but considering the Victorian/Edwardian originations of the genre, it would seem the crop-top t-shirt and thong would be out of place. I think bloomers and a lace camisole might be more appropriate...

    Completed Norman Knight Bust

Thanks, John. It came out better than I expected. I still need to get the hang of busts, tho'. It's a never-ending process... Glen

    Completed Norman Knight Bust

Thnaks everyone! I appreciate the comments. It was bit of a crapshoot for me since I don't have a lot of experience with large scale busts. The detailing of the leather belts and the pitting in the metal parts was great. It made a great canvas. I think the lights did wash out the tunic a bit...

    Completed Norman Knight Bust

Hi all! This is Young Miniatures Norman Knight, 1066 bust. Pretty much box stock, although I did relocate the shield boss; it seemed a bit off-center. All resin painted in Reaper Acrylics. It's my second bust. It's considerably larger than what I'm used to... Questions and comments are...

    Completed The Spankmaster

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the coments! It didn't medal at last year's LSFS, but it did get a lot of favorable comments and it was constantly being photographed. A lot of women seemed to like it. I've been breaking out of my usual 54mm medieval subjects over the past year and doing a few...

    Dallas-lone Star Figure Show (2013??)

13/14-16 March 2013. Same hotel, but I'm told the room price was bumped by about ten bucks. At least two workshops - one on painting and one on groundwork. The old site is still active, but has not yet been updated to reflect the 2013 show. Looking forward to it! Cheers, Glen

    Completed The Spankmaster

Well, now that I have your attention... This is the Spankmaster; a very long term project that I came up with over ten years ago when Andrea Miniatures released their 80mm Lolita figure in the 3D Miniatures line. As cast, the figure is sans underwear, so I added some pulled-down panties using...

    New Andrea Miniaturas

This is a great figure. For those not familiar with it, it's based on Gil Elvgren's 'Plenty Sharp'/Get the Point' painted in 1959. Google it; it'll come up. In the original painting, the spikey plants (yucca?) are considerably taller and not potted. The painted figure emulates the white dress...

    Site Issues

Well, Marc, that's been my experience as well. Blockers and filters can often lead to other issues with other sites. The problem only seems to be with pF; all other sites seem to be running fine - with or without ads. The other issue is the types of ads. Hobby related I can understand, even...

    Site Issues

Ok, what's up? Over the past several weeks, pF has become very slow to load and seems to be featuring ads with 'adult' stars, lesbian dating services, comely young wenches wanting to 'friend' me, etc. It seems loading the ads has priority over loading the site and things have slowed to a crawl...

ACW: 11th Indiana Volunteers (Wallace's Zouaves)

Crickets. Nothin' but crickets... I guess I'm between further research and winging it. Maybe IN has a historical archives office I can talk to. If I find anyhing, I'll post it. Cheers, Glen

ACW: 11th Indiana Volunteers (Wallace's Zouaves)

Hi all, I'm looking for additional info on the early war uniform of the above. I have one painting of an enlisted rifleman by Don Troiani and another of a captain by Jeff Burn. Both depict the overall gray uniform with buttonless zouave jacket and baggy trousers (but not as baggy as most...
