    Austro-Hungarian uniform / a few questions 27th Landwehr regiment

As far as I understand this unit was originally raised in 1901 with collar tabs of deep yellow. At some point between 1911 and 1914 they came under the control of Mountain units. Now this is where it is unclear to me about the change in uniform. Did they trade in their high collar...

questions on 3D printing and effect on the hobby industry

I'm a member of a few hobby forums, but this site is the only one I know of that has a section dedicated to 3D printing - so hope to get feed back from those more knowledgeable in the field, but other opinions are also welcomed. Many believe that eventually we will all own a 3D printer, which...

    Completed u-boat crewman WWII

Resin 1/10 scale kit from Young Miniatures, completed with Vallejo acrylics. Also tried just a hint of some red ocher weathering powder on the flesh areas, but most of it ended up painted over. The binocular straps were scraped off the bust, and scratch built new ones with two layers of...

    Greetings All

I've been building models close to 40 years now, many of them being figures. My interests lie mainly with WW2 ever since learning my father had served there, but have done subjects from earlier periods (namely medieval, napoleon era and WW1). I also paint the occasional portrait on canvas.
