    WW1 German trooper conversion

I've been working on a conversion of an old Verlinden kit for the past couple of weeks in-between other projects. A Close Call

I found this old Kirin kit of a WW1 Tommy last week while cleaning up the model bunker so I had to paint it! Just a bit more work on the shading and highlights and this one is finished. As always, painted with acrylics. Based on the iconic photograph.

    WW1 French Poilu near completion

This my version of the Poilu bust from Nemrod. It required just a bit of work to seat the ammo pouches correctly - had to grind way some of the area beneath the belt, but all, in all, a very good kit and very affordable! I also add the metal hooks that connect the straps to the pouches. Here is...

2nd Figure Comleted For Ww1 Trench Diorama

With this one finished I have begun working on the 3rd figure. It's the Jeff Shiu WW1 Machine Gunner piece and it requires a bit more work than the Jon Smith kits. It's a very nice kit but the canteen and gas mask can are oversized so I am replacing them with the JSM parts. You will also have to...

Still have a bit of work to do cleaning up and detailing a few areas on the shirt, hat, and beard. Then I will sculpt a rolled parchment name plate, attach it to a pedestal and figure out what the parchment should say. Any Ideas??
