WIP British Royal Engineer officer in trench waders, 1916

Hello Bran, Xpress paints are like the contrast paints by Games Workshop but then produced by Vallejo. I like these better because they cover a bit more.

Very nice painting. But isn't this a figure by HD models and not by H3? Anyway very nice painting, Gino.

    WIP Death dealer

Hi Nap, in my mind the death dealer is dead himself, kind of a zombie merchant. So I decided to use as little warm colours as possible, that's also why I didn't used any red on the cheeks or nose. There's a little bit of magenta round they eyes, but I toned that down a bit with glazes of the...

    WIP Death dealer

Hi Simon, Stepping away from a project can indeed be a good thing to do. I then paint on another model to keep the hands trained;) I was thinking to search for pictures of a real leguaan or something, never thought about these great artists, although I have some books of them. Thanks very...

    WIP Death dealer

Hello, Finally I've made some progress. I felt like I had to blend the skintones some more. With this done I felt the contrast was gone, blending again, contrast agai till the point that the face was ruined. So to make a long story short : I kind of repainted the face. I started to feel...

Leonardo Da Vinci, Ludovico Sforza and the Duke’s squire, Milano 1490

Is this the re-release of an old EMI kit? Anyway, very original and atractive model! If it was in resin instead of white metal I might be temped to buy one. Cheers, Gino.

Completed Cowboy - 120mm - Mitches Military Models

I would just use a bigger wooden base. I think the position of the figure is just perfect. Cheers, Gino.

WIP British Royal Engineer officer in trench waders, 1916

Hi guys, Thank you very much for your nice comments. Faces are the most fun to paint I find. I do have a lot of figures on which I've painted the faces and then lost interest because I saw another face to paint. And this way I'll get about one figure a year finnished. On all the pics...

WIP British Royal Engineer officer in trench waders, 1916

Hello all Here are some early in progress pictures of this 65mm resin casting by Wars and peaces miniatures. Almost no cleaning up and a wonderful sculpt. Only downside is that it comes with only some written instruction. They do have a picture of a finished figure by David Lane on their...
