Thanks for the kind words. As we probably all do with our own work, I see the mistakes first! :lol:

I'm not sure of the scale, the bust is about 150mm in size - so lots of real estate to play with. Reds: I started with Cad Red Medium - which is the highlight. Then mixed in some grays to tone it down for the mids and burnt umber for deep shadows.

OK, guys, here's a picture of the figure I was working on during the seminar. Just bear in mind it is not even finished - and not show-quality. I decided to keep it "as is" to preserve my lesson. So, please don't judge the coach by the player's poor performance. :eek:

Looks like none of us that went to this program has posted a review yet, so here goes!! Last Sunday the LIHMCS Club (Long Island Historical Miniature Collectors Society) held a painting class for members and non-members. I attended along with several other members of the “Hawaiian Shirt Mafia”...

These are EXCELLENT figures, Ulrich! I love the bust style flats as they give us a chance to concentrate on the face. The overall size is also perfect. Interesting and unusual subjects! You are doing some great work here. Keep 'em coming!! BTW, how can I buy these?
