I've just finished this figure. It's one I'm doing with Robin who's also on Planet Figure. I used Andrea and Vallejo paints for the trousers and artists acrylics for the rest. To get the matt black I added a little MIG black smoke powder to the paint - it seems to work.

Well - what can I say except thanks for all the comments. I paint in artists' acrylics mostly, using repeated very thin washes to get the smooth transitions. It's a slow process. I use Andrea paints for reds, blues and greens as artists' acrylics are too shiny. I'll post a few more pics...
