    WIP Critique 1/12 Rizzla/Suzuki Pitbabe

Darko, before Gary started selling his waxes, he gave his recipies freely at the Clubhouse. Here are some of them so you can give a hand a mixing your own..... The numbers are percent of mixture. "Just wanted to make sure that everyone got all the recipes..here's the other post in text...

    WIP Critique 1/12 Rizzla/Suzuki Pitbabe

Hey Darko, looking for wax, go with WillowProduts. http://willowproducts.com/ He makes a whole line of waxes for sculpting. Some of his waxes are sculptable when warm, just like sculpey... Most are pourable into molds. Look at his catalogue.

    Stacked Stone Wall Tutorial?

I have a tendency to break up styrofoam and use that, the worse thing you can do is use pepples, it looks so fake.... Another alternative, if you have never seen them before it to use a Hirst Mold. I own several of them and love them..... http://www.hirstarts.com/molds/moldsfield.html

Completed Farseer Traveller & wolf Phil walden

I agree, the figure is great, but the wolf needs some work. Thought he was a shepherd with a sheep at first.

WIP making cast with Magic Sculpt (MS)

Sorry I was not clear about that. The molds are done in two parts. I make one side, spray the master with WD40 press it into the Aves (smiliar to Magic Sculpt) push in a few key holes with the end of a paint brush and let that cure. I then pop out the master, so to make sure it is not stuck...

WIP making cast with Magic Sculpt (MS)

I use Aves all the time for making two part molds, I would not wait too long for it to set up, the softer the better to smush into crevices. WD40 makes a great mold release and will keep everythign from sticking.

    WIP Baking Sculpey?

Glen, I found this on answer.com Glass does not typically "break" at any temperature. If you want to be technical, the melting point of glass is 2600-2900 °F. Now, another important and relevant fact is that when things are hot, they grow very slightly larger due to their molecular...

    WIP Baking Sculpey?

BTW, I make alot of push molds out of sculpey and use sculpey in the push molds. I use wd40 as the release or cornstarch when I can find the can of wd40....

    WIP Baking Sculpey?

Most sculpey users use Vaseline as an adherent or glue for adding more scupley to already cured sculpey. The Shifftlet Brothers preach this method.... I use it myself. I would not suggest using it as a release agent. I too work with tiles from Home Depot, slips right off after baking...

Are there any tutorials for sculpting?

Smeagol, a good thing when you are starting out is to learn about "2 part push molds" just google that.... Make a push mold of the head you want to use, you can use sculpey for your push molds. Make a copy of a head you want to use, then sculpt over that.... You can't and shouldn't use push...
