    The canteen is probably correct. The "E" stands for Company E of Duryee's Zouaves. Technically they were the 5th New York, but Abram Duryee commanded this unique group and many newspaper articles referred to them as Duryee's Zouaves.

    Beautiful figures and paintwork. My first thought was to agree with Einion concerning the size of the tsuba, but after some research, I think the WW2 Model 94 and Model 98 were not nearly as ornamental and flashy as the elaborate swords of old. Now I think it's spot on. Some good sword info...
