WIP Further to my last. I’m well into the project now. Never painted armour in my life but didn’t want it brand new looking as it would be unrealistic on this lad after probably tabbing 20 miles a day for the last few months. I’m wanting to portray him as a battle hardened vet not too far off his pension and probably somewhere in Gaul / Germania. Let me know what you think? I’m open to critique as it is a learning hobby / art!

Since I posted this I’ve made a couple of amendments on advice of some of you:

Changed position of eyes to focus along the blade and given the cloak a more Matt effect (see the last two photos for the changes) then

Yep, I ll have that. I think that when I painted them, with the head separate, I expected it to do just that. Obviously the head didn’t go that far round
