Another oldie (but new to me) but goodie bust. Well cast with very little clean up to be done. No flow marks or voids of any kind and the only parting lines I could ind are on the mounting post that comes with the kit and I'm not sure I'm going to use it anyway.

Remarkably the figure's head comes in four separate pieces which fit together seamlessly allowing for great depth and detail - not to mention making the head much easier to paint. Very clever and kudos to Young Miniatures for figuring that one out.

Hi Rick

Nice choice , like the way the head parts are split ....makes painting a lot more accessible

Good start on this

Why not enter something in the class of your choice in FOTM , maybe also into the Vignette & Diorama comp , please take the time to consider and also do vote as well

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to the next thread update

Been busy and not much time for the bench. Normally I begin painting with the face. I like the way it brings a figure to life right away.... and so I did with our friend here,.... four times.... followed by four trips into the stripper bath. So I decided to give myself a little break and begin with his torso instead. Not much to see but it's a start.

A little more progress....
This isn't the best face I've ever done it is, however, the best I've ever done with this face (5 attempts). 3 parts not glued, test fit only. Fabric elements are a very deep grey with pure black for the shadows and leather brown for the highlights (wanted it to look like fabric, not black leather, which I was afraid would begin to happen if I used a lighter grey for the highlights).

Hi Rick

Liking the way this is going , the material looks good , blacks always difficult, flesh looks okay , like the graying beard

Thanks for sharing the updates

Look forward to seeing more
