1:10 Totenkopf (SS) Buste

Hello Guys,

the face is still a bit wet, but here's the result so far. Its a buste from Young Miniatures.
The body and MP40 will come later.

The flesh tones look nicely done John and once dried will look even better but one thing that really stands out are the fact the eyes are not alligned together, they may need more work.

Excellent skin tones, but as Steve said he does appear to have Strabismus.

John, if you can get both eyes looking to his right I think you will have cracked it. It's also much easier than trying to get them looking straight ahead.

Well here's an update. Both eyes are not exactly in the middle now, but a little to the side. I painted 1 new eye and slightely altered the other one.
Cap is done 90% now and i have put a little more shade around the eyes. Shade between the lips and under the upper lip. And i have put some dark brown on the little gap on his chin. I think this is an improvement.

A lot better! He's looking good. Perhaps the addition of some stubble around the beard area would help but that's entirely up to you.

Yes, that's right. A wash of grey would work.

Now i am gonna clean the torso and put some primer on it (surfacer 1200). The MP40 will come on later it will be easier that way.

yes eyes are much better now John and he has a more tired and wornout look now.

Here's a new update. The head has dried now and i have cleaned the buste. I put it into a bath to take the grease of. It now has a very thin coat of primer.
The MP40 will come later. Next step is to paint the coat. I think it is some kind of sheep leather. I have some good references. The leather has some very interesting curvy thin patterns al little like small lines in reality.

New update guys. I have tried to simulate the structure of the sheep leather jacket. Only the face is ready. The rest, well still a lot to do. Coat needs some filters en pinwashes.

I like the effect your going for on the sheepskin and it looks very good so far John. Looks like it will be a very nice figure when complete.

i am going to do a little adjusting to his left eye. Its not completely simular to his right. Maybe some highlighting his upper lip and making his expression a little less afraid.
