She was supposed to be 1/10th scale but turned up much smaller than expected, somewhere between 1/11th and 1/12th. Smaller than I really like working on.
3D print file sourced from MyMiniFactory, part of a trio of matching figures, not specifically sold as "Drow" (hence the lack of spider iconography) so colouration is personal choice.
Famous from the early Dungeons and Dragons game world Drow are described as an underground dwelling race, black skinned and white haired generally with red eyes. An extremely evil matriarchal society where proficiency at magic equates to social and political power.
Painting a genuine "Black" skintone, or at least something that would pass as black was an interesting challenge, I opted for a cold turquoise/green with shading and highlights mixed with true black or pure white, trying not to bring any warm tones into the mix at all.
Accordingly she is not the most visually appealing piece but was certainly an interesting exercise in working up skintones in an unusual colour.
