it's easter and whitby is full to bursting with tourists, grockles as the locals call em.....

in a fit of boredom i put together figure 3 from dragons german tank crew 44-45 and popped a legend head on it. that was friday... undercoated and left to cure till today and i got on and painted it

the figure is from 1993 i believe and it show... mushy detail all round, the legend head is a bit over modelled but i like it :)

far from perfect but i plan on finishing this in the morning and starting to sort a modern dragon figure with a hornet head asap

:)

finished the paint.... can't say i'm too happy with how it came out. but i'm chuffed i got anything finished at all :)

have a small hexagonal base drying now so i'm gonna try and get this based and pastel weathered today. my easter figure :)

the other reason i painted this figure was that i had two 1/35th Alpine figures winging their way to me.

here's a shot of the figure straight from the baggy

I'm stunned at the difference in quality.

I'm hoping that this will be a similar experience to painting an injection plastic 1/16th figure and then going over to resin 1/16th :)
