I try to paint with whichever medium I think will give me the best results for whatever I am trying to paint. In this case the uniform and flesh are painted in oils and everything else is painted in acrylics. The base I used is a resin base that came out of my scrap box and is painted with a Rust-oleum hammered finish paint. I think the base came with a bust but I don’t remember which one.

No, I haven’t tuned to the dark side quite yet… But I do put a toe across from time to time.

I would have to agree… Mike has done an outstanding job sculpting this piece. Surprisingly it has more detail on it than many larger figures.
