1/9th Rosengrant Bust

Ok here we GO again,another 1/9th German and yes he is Waffen SS. He could be a Fallschirmjager also,with a few minor changes.I have started on the 1942 helmet.Base coat and markings only. Mrosko

I concur with Tom; that is a most realistic result - even if it is only the base coat!

Chris does do very nice work. I bought his book about painting armor. Very good. I wonder if he will pop by to answer?

The German helmet looks like it dates to just pre-WWII. Herman the German must had this type of tank as his escort.

Hello Guys and thanks for the great comments. The helmet was painted first with a thin layer of black acrylic paint then a shade of dark grey/green was applied over the entire helmet with airbrush. I then applied a wash of black/blue oils,then some chipping here and there. But the kicker was the nose grease! yes nose grease,I stuck the ole finger up to the nose and then polished the helmet with my greasy finger. mrosko

It sounds to me like you just want everyone who reads this to stick their finger up their noses and look at them. :angry: You can't be serious <_<
