Here are a couple of in-progress shots of a potential Christmas gift, Michael Roberts 101st Airborne pvt. Using acrylics, painting this guy is almost effortless. I just hope it doesn't look that way. This is my 1st resin figure & I've read from a lot of you about the great detail on resin figures. The sculpting & detail on him is pretty amazing. My question is regarding the different shades of green on the jacket & pants. This is also my 1st WW2 figure so I don't have any experience with their uniforms. Could the different shades have been a possibility, look natural? Any comments good, bad, or ugly are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mike

The bazooka looks really good - is the ring at the back end of the bazooka painted? You may want to tone down the trousers since the geren looks too bright. Typically, they were almost the same color than the M43 jacket - if not the same.

Pete,

Thanks for the help. I figured that the coat would be fairly close but wasn't sure about the pants. The ring hasn't been painted yet. I just glued it on yesterday for the 2nd time so I've got my fingers crossed that it won't fall off (again) when I start to paint it.

Good deal on the ring. I too had a tough time gluing it on there and keeping it from coming off.
