Hi,

I have long been looking for 120mm resin models of Frederick the Great's army. I find it hard to believe there are really so few out there given how significant this army and this period were in military history. Does anyone know of any figures out there?
thanks :)

Hi, Ulrich Puchala has a nice range available, but you are right it is a very neglected area.
I also managed to get hold of a kit by Ulrich Grotjahn now long OOP of Frederick the Great.

Thanks for the replies guys! I know Berliner Zinnfiguren well and they have some great models from that period, unfortunately they are usually metal. Looks Puchala does excellent ones, though they are mostly historical personalities rather than generic infantry/cavalry. Anyway cheers for the help and will just keep looking out for new releases.

Once in a blue moon manufacturers will issue polls on new subjects for figures so keep an eye out for that as well.

120mm, 1/15, 1/16 are relatively new scales compared with 54mm and 1/32 as we are aging the larger the figs the better ;) 75mm, 1/24 and 1/25 are making a strong market as of late and are comfortable medium between 54mm and 120mm

Thanks for the info gordy! I'll keep a look out for those polls. Luckily it turns out Bonapartes are restocking a 120mm prussian grenadier in a few months so hopefully that will yeild some results :D cheers

As the others have pointed out, Puchala has an excellent series of 120mm figures out now. Unless you're absolutely wedded to resin, I recommend those figures.

Prost!

Thanks Baron, yeah I saw some fantastic figures on his website. He said the whole 120mm range was going to be recast in resin in the next months anyway so great stuff to look forward to :)
