120mm diorama accessories

Hi,
I'm building an Arnhem diorama using Verlinden [519] - A Bridge Too Far (2 Figures) 120mm British paratroopers and I need to get hold of some bricks for rubble - quite a lot of them. Does anyone know where I can hold of some? Also would like to get hold of some 120mm WW2 British paratrooper weapons and gear especially a Lee Enfield rifle. All help greatly appreciated.

Custom Dioramics makes some very nice 120MM bricks, both red and gray colored. They are clay/ceramic, and you can thrash some a zip-bag with a hammer to make even smaller rubble and debris. Hope this helps.

Hi Peter,
Surely it would be easier and more gratifying to make your own rubble and debris. How about using 'Daz Pronto', or terracotta Milliput, rolled out to the correct width and then sliced up. Or perhaps make a mould for a brick template (made from a slither of plastic-card) and then a plaster of Paris mould. Push in putty to create the bricks.

Don't forget that the Lee-Enfield in use at this time was the No.4, which I don't think I've seen replicated in this scale yet.

Don't forget 120mm is a size, NOT a scale. If you're using Verlinden figures then your dio is 'probably' 1/15th, and you won't be able to use any of Dragon's 1/16th kits for accessories, they'll appear too small. It's like the old 1/35th..1/32nd debate, only more pronounced!

I'm sculpting some 1/16th figs for an Arnhem dio myself at the moment (have a look at my first posts).........very....very.....slowly.....!
It's based on an actual photo of Captain Killick's patrol on the 18th Sept.

To complete this dio I too need a No.4 Lee Enfield. To my knowledge no one's made one in this scale yet (Maurice Correy's made one to go with his Arnhem fig...but I think it may be 1/15th).

The answer may be in using the latest technology. Have a look at 'www.printapart.com'. I have finally worked out how to design a British para's helmet in the correct scale, in an STL file, and am gonna have one printed out in 3D soon!

Anything machine made, pressed, cast,....whatever! We can recreate using the latest technology.
