Another Verlinden figure depicting a French Imperial Guardsman in campaign dress. The box art depicts the early white uniform, but as I have a version of that in my collection, I went for the classic blue and red this time. Pretty much built out of the box, with just a couple of repairs and replacements.

Another great work, Peter.
You're like a machine, my friend, and your work is excellent, congrats.

Cheers,

Francisco

Morning Peter

Good to see your brushes are back up and painting and a bright palette too.

I remember the other figure the grizzled face is unique and the white uniform too.

Looks like another snowy day up't North

Enjoy the next victim and the brief return to winter as another mini heatwave seems due again at the weekend?

Weird weather!

Take care

Regards

Stev H

Many thanks for your kind words chaps - greatly appreciated.

Steve - Ain't the weather all over the place? Heavy frost here this morning and bright sunshine. Heatwave due in two days. The jet stream has definitely shifted.

Hi Peter

Catching up a bit , another good example of what can be achieved with the older kits ....nice blues on him , you've brought out the face well

Did you add the hand bandage as well ?

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to the next

Happy benchtime

Stunning! Each new figure better than the one before!

Oda.

PS: ...and that's not an easy task, considering all your previous works.

Glad you like this one Ken. Like many other Verlindens this one is a bit odd anatomically, but it has loads of character and the casting and detail are superb. I've been in the attic this afternoon and dug out some more for stripping down.

Looking forward to more. Not all people are perfectly proportional so, except for a few, I don't see problems with most of the verlinden line. Your work is very inspiring, my friend. :)

Very nice Peter, just shows there is still mileage in the old Verlinden kits.

Keith

Agree - they were a real mixed bag with some decent ones (like this piece) which stands the test of time and some quite awful ones like those with the 'grinning chimp' faces.

Lovely paint job on this Peter which has bags of character in the face and I like the muted colours for the campaign feel.
