Hi everyone,

This is my first Figure post on PF.It is a Verlinden 120mm Special Forces Figure.

I would like to thank everyone who i've picked up tips and info while visiting PF as your knowledge has helped me out one hundred percent.

The Beanie and Backpack look a little shiny in the pics, but i think its the result of the harsh lighting i've used, i need to get a softbox or something to soften it a bit.

Sorry if the pics are a little large but i don't know how to reduce them properly on the program that i have on my PC yet.

Thanks for looking,

Good stuff Jeff. Kit looks a bit crude here and there, but Verlinden do. I like your painting style, very crisp. A good job all round. Might it be an idea to varnish the glasses? Just a thought....... take care mate.

Thanks a lot for the comments fellas.............

i really appreciate it.

Rob:The uniform was basecoated with Tamiya Acrylic Buff lightened a touch with white, then the light green areas and brown wavy stripes were done using Humbrol Enamels + Oils mixed to try and get the correct shade.

Light green:Humbrol 121 + Olive Green Oil Paint + White Oil Paint.

Brown Stripes:Humbrol 186 + 33Black + 100 Red Brown.

I use Oils mixed with the Enamels so they are easier to shade and highlight with darker and lighter mixes of these colours later.

Theres probably a much easier and better way to mix these colours, but this is what i've found is easiest for me.

Thanks again Guys,
Jeff.

Hi jeff,
great work! Uniform looks very realistic. Compliments.
It is not my scale but I really like modern subject :)

Best regards
