The "old dozen", The 12th of Foot, now completed. Nice little figure from Elan13 miniatures.
Painted in oils and acrylics, my first face in acrylic, not happy so will go back to oils for the next one.

Super work Bob.
Exceptional finish on the ware and tear to the uniform.
The face looks fine Mate but like you my efforts to paint faces in acrylics never quite does it and out come the oils.
I think the blending and use of thin glazes are difficult to achieve in anything but oils. For me any way.
It still looks great though.
All the best.

Thanks Keith for the compliment, much appreciated, I'll stick to oils too.

Very nice Bob, I like that. (y)

I was going to suggest you extend the wetness on the knees down a bit and looked for a photo to demonstrate what I meant, legs on the left but as yours look like the ones on the right I won't. :D

Thanks Roger, yep your right, I will do it right away. I thought it looked a little odd.
Thank you , much appreciated

You're welcome Bob. It was just an observation and not a criticism. I suppose it all depends on how wet the ground is and how long you've been kneeling on it but the bigger wet patch looks more convincing.... ermm, if you know what I mean. :)
