This one's been glaring at me from the 'part finished' shelf for a while.
It's a Chota Sahib 17th Lancers Officer, 1825 (54mm).
Painted in oils over enamels. The lacing, cords and are printers inks mixed with Humbrol matt.

That's a blast from the past Andrew, good on you for getting stuck in and finishing it.
Nice clean painting.

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment Bob.
There's another part-finished Chota Sahib on that dreaded shelf.
It's a British Officer, 28th Foot, 1815.
All I need now is for someone to give me "a round tuit".

Cheers,
Andrew

I seem to be in same position Andrew, I have a Crimean subject and some others to do.

Hi Andrew

Great to see you posting and one from the shelf of shame ....but no more !

Always good to see the Chota Sahib figures and this is nicely painted with the silver lacework quite striking

Thanks for sharing

I'll give you a Round tuit Andrew ;)

Nice job on this fella so there's no excuse. If he's the chap casually holding his scabbard I painted one myself a few years ago (post is on here somewhere) Quite enjoyed it at the time although I did change the head (From memory it wasn't quite up to scratch)
Cheers

That's the fella Paul. I like your replacement head.
You're right about the head. Mine won't be as good as yours. I've painted mine, so I'm not going to change it for a better one.

Thank you for your kind comments and the Tuit (y) . Here it is, for those who are wondering what we're on about :-

I suppose I'd better get back to the bench now.

Cheers,
Andrew
