Another classic figure emerges from my Grey Army.
This 120mm figure of the 1st Regiment of Foot, the Royal Scots, at Waterloo, was originally released by The Roll Call.
This line is now produced by The Lost Battalion Miniatures.
Painted in oil, inks, and acrylics.

Hi Kurt

Great to see what's on the bench , nice to empty the GA a little !

Liking the overall rank and file look of the uniform, like the shako on him

What colours did you use for the brick red ?

Thank you all for your kind comments. The dull, brick red shade was exactly what I was hoping to achieve. I am a big fan of the Andrea color sets, and I used the First Shadow shade as my primary red. I mixed this with Vallejo Panzer Aces 310 Old Wood for my base color. Highlights were achieved by adding more and more Old Wood, and the deepest shadows were added using the Second Shadow shade from the red set. View attachment 478032IMG_3794.JPG

I can only echo the comments above but i'll add a well done on his leather work. Do TLB still sell these?
Scotty.

I’m not sure whether this specific figure is still available, but check their website. I’m fairly certain they still carry a number of the former Roll Call figures. I’ve had this one for a while and the quality is as good as the original releases.

Very good work.I especially like the armpit sweatt stains. Most of us tend to forget what happens to the human body under extreme physical stress. It is a touch that adds immensely to the figure being as close to reality as possible.

Oda.

Thanks for noticing that, Oda. I tried to dirty this fellow up a good bit. Most accounts indicate that it rained heavily before the battle and then Wellington had his infantry lying down to avoid the French cannonade. They must have been filthy by the end of the day.

excellent work.. these Roll Call kits ( Now TLB ) were/are brilliant... Moz CORRY is an amazing sculptor... I'm sure he was released with a bandaged head tho..

Is that the same sculpture company that did that Superb 5th KGL bust firing his "Bess" rifle.
