I'm kicking around "re-building" the Ultimate Soldier Bradley M2 into a M2A2ODS ... and need to build figures for it. It's in 1/9th scale or thereabouts. While I'm not skilled enough to sculpt heads and hands, I could likely handle the body. So ... where can I find bare heads and hands available as spares or conversion parts in 200mm scale??

Suggestions, Please?

Kerry

Yeah definately check out Warriors large scale stuff, some of the best out there, most of them are sculpted by the legend John Rosengrant. Warriors also have head sets, helmet sets, equipment sets and weapon sets all in 1/9th scale and all beautifully done.

Hope this helps.

I would also say Warriors. I used one of the extra heads to convert this figure. It started life as Warriors Zombardier .

Well, I ordered some heads from VLS, and asked them about the availability of spare hands ... so, we'll see what comes out of it. If I'm not too embarrassed by my efforts, I might post some pictures along the way ...

Oh dont worry about being embaressed! By posting your work here it will only help you become a better sculptor, I know I sure have.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with these heads!

Thanks for the kind words guys this figure is one of my older pieces but it is one that I am proud of,. But I will say it again it is hard to go wrong with the Warriors heads I think they were all sculpted by John Rosengrant. They almost paint themselfs.

Kerry, please post your stuff I would like to see it. The piece I posted above was my first conversion in that scale before that I had only done 54mm converisions. I had painted a few busts but I had never done a converison on any thing this big . I took it to a SCAHMS meeting after it was all painted and evey one said the arm looked too long. The more I looked at it the more I realised they were all right. So I wraped the head and body in plastic and got out my dremel and cut the arm shorter. I then put the hand back on and resculpted the area where the arm went back togther.

Best
Jeff
