2013 APG News.
Happy New Year! I am pleased to make 2 announcements today regarding the APG.
First. January 1st will see the start of our annual membership drive. Soon our current membership will be receiving renewal forms. If you are not a member, forms are available on our website http://www.artistpreservationgroup.com/mission.html or directly from Membership Coordinator Dee Moore at [email protected]. As an incentive everyone renewing or enlisting will receive a chance at a raffle which will include some of the following prizes: a signed numbered print donated by Donna Neary of a soldier from the 42nd Foot (Black Watch)1756, a 108 color set of Reaper Paints, the Troiani limited edition print “New York’s Bravest”, a watch, a $50 gift certificate to Michael Roberts Ltd, and the AC Models bust of a CS Standard Bearer, just to name a few. We will also be awarding 5 year pins to those members that are eligible after the Membership Drive.
We are also starting today we a fundraising drive to help the Princeton Battlefield Society maintain and protect the Revolutionary War battlefield site at Princeton, NJ. This site was recently named one of the top 11 endangered historic sites in the country. The drive will be in the form of a raffle. The raffle prize will be a 9x12 Keith Rocco print of a soldier from the 3rd NJ Battalion 1776. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Unlike past efforts we won’t be committing to the donation of a set amount but will pass on to the Society all proceeds we raise with the raffle. For many reasons this battlefield is one of the most important in our country, to many for me to go into here. I strongly urge you to visit their website and learn more. http://theprincetonbattlefieldsociety.com/ It’s also one of the few Rev War sites remaining. Tickets are available on our website http://www.artistpreservationgroup.c...on-Raffle.html and at the APG table at the Atlanta and MCFA Shows or directly from me. Raffle will end with the drawing at 3pm on Sat May 11th at the MFCA Show in Valley Forge. Winner need not be present.
Thanks for your support.
