Warren SMITH
A Fixture
I recently did a quick review of some 3d printed British Waterloo figures by Speira Miniatures.
Part of my second order was a figure in 1/12 scale the other figures are 1/16th.
This is the 1/12 figure, moulded in a metallic grey resin. The resin is rather hard and chips rather than carves. As its a 3d printed figures its rather light weight, being hollow.. Two casting hollows were located under his pack which needed filling and there were a few casting rod marks to clean up. No glue required as the figure is a single casting..
Here it is beside a 1/16 Speira figure.
I don't do work in progress articles, just in case I don't finish the figure, some I do get bogged down with and they return to the grey army.
So here is the finished figure. Acrylics with the face and hands in oils...
Any feed back appreciated..
