We are seeing quite a few new flats arrive over the past year and Regimental S4 has brought to us a 150mm resin flat along with a beautifully reproducted frame from that period too.
The set is comprised of 2 resin parts, the figure and the frame and a black sheet plastic for the backing. Combined when finished we have a striking remembernce of the tintype days when our soldiers of the ACW had their photo taken and sent back home to their families.

Above is the frame which is a reproduction from an original of the time.
I tried to get a closer view of the frame to show the detail Nick has put into the frame.
Nick provides the black backing to the figure that will attach to the rear of the frame.

Above is a photograph of the original tin-type the sculpting is from.
Conclusion:
An excellent flat sculpted by Nick Majerus with very little edge cleanup required. I like the aspect of the frame also coming with the flat.
