Excellent work on the faces.

5 figures on the go.......my wife would think I was ill. I have at least 12 in progress projects going on most all the time.

I have to concur with the comments on your flesh tones. Amazing and life like are what comes to my mind. Mind sharing your color mixes?

I agree with what has been said . . .

I agree with what so many of the others have said. Your facial flesh tones
are very good. And I like the way you paint the eyes as well. It looks like
the highlight dot in the iris is a perfect circle. Wow, well done.

I'm attempting a similar kind of approach. I'm wanting to wean myself away
from doing flesh tones in oils and use acrylics exclusively.

So I've painted the faces and hands of about
five or six figures that I have laying around here. And the repetition has
helped somewhat. Still not where I'd like to be. For me, getting the opacity
or transparency of the wash just exactly right is very difficult for me. But I
feel we do learn by doing.

Your work is definitely encouraging, and I like the selection of the figures
you picked. Pegaso figures are very very nice; high quality for the money.

face colour mix

Thankyou for replying to my work and i am glad you like the tones.

The way I paint faces is really really easy , for one thing.

A small brush and paint everything you see NOT what you think you see

!/3 Titanium white, 1/3 Yellow Ochre, 1/3 Red (talens is good and dark)

You will then have a mid flesh, mid tones add burnt sienna and on top of that add burnt umber for even darker

NEVER EVER put shadow if you want highlight, last thing PURE white, as I said 4 easy colours and all so many tones.

Fstein was painted in 4 colours, all of him inclu the purple eyes

As a note, i love AFVs but do not understand filters so there is a trade, team if anyone can help
SBS definately

Regards and merry xmas
