A friend returned today from NARA with photos of American troops liberating stolen art and other treasures from the Nazis and I was inspired to copy the idea if not one of the photos, not all that original, but the photos were cool. Now I come to all of you W.W.II guys looking for a suggestion for a figure to use. I'd like a 54mm or 1/35th G.I. in a casual pose, preferably not in class A. I know that there are probably a crap load of figures out there that fit the bill, ...,

Matthew, I would say that Warriors proably has a fig or 2 that would fit your idea. Here are some product numbers: WA35361 WA35379 WA35366. If they can be wearing webbing and stuff there are more to chose from. Hope I hae been of some help. Brock

Hi

If you can find them, Yanks had some good figures.
There were various tank crew and GI figures at rest and in casual poses.

The Warriors catalogue is huge, there should be something there. Or you could covert some of the Tamiya or DML US figures...

Cheers
Andy

Andy,
I think I am going to try and stay awy from DML or Tamiya for this project and as you have suggested stay with Warriors or (if I can find them) Yanks. I had actually forgotten about Yanks since the are OOP, thanks for that suggestion.

If you want guys in overcoats, I know Hornet or Wolf used to sell a couple of GIs looking at a helmet/cap one had in hand. I looked on theire website, and couldn't find it, so I'm not sure if it's OOP. They'd be a good start depending on your idea.

There are some TD crew figures from Warriors in very generic uniforms that could be useful too.

And of course, Warriors' catalogue is huge, and what percentage are Allied forces?? (I know, dead horse beaten) ;)
