Having been inspired by the Repin painting, and the story behind it, I am now looking for the 75mm set of Zaparozhian Cossacks by Irbis, modelled after the painting.
Berliner Zinnfiguren have a set, but it's a load of money. If anyone has a set they don't want, even partially started, I will be happy to relieve you of it.

Cheers,
Alan

OK, I've relented and ordered a set from Berliner Zinnfiguren, with, I might add, the blessing of Mrs. Old Taff (she's younger, though).
A high price, but a masterpiece of sculpting. (The models, I mean, although Mrs. is still statuesque  )

Money well spent Alan. I've got a few Irbis pieces myself. They're not the cheapest figures out there by any means, but the quality of both sculpting and casting is first rate.

I've always fancied that set but the price......ouch!!!!Glad you did it,now start painting and posting!

I'll do my best, but, as is painfully evident, I'm not very adept at posting pictures. I must try to get to grips with our old camera.....I have trouble with depths of field and focus. Must try harder, I suppose.
