Author's Miniatures second release comes right behind their first beautiful resin Figure. A 75mm Rider Mannequin and a 75mm horse. Sculpted by Sergey Zlobov (planetfigure member), this is a beautiful resin horse and rider sculpted by a Master Artist.

Once again packaged in their book style box with bubble wrap around 2 sealed bags. One bag with the parts for the rider mannequin and the other for the horse parts.

Above you see the open box with the bags to the right and the large horse halves on the left. The bottom photograph shows all of the parts out of the box and bags and you can see the mannequin which can be positioned by turning the upper torso at the waist. The arms are cast separately. Also the stirrups and horse bridle bits are included in the kit.

The Mannequin

The top two photographs show the front and back view of the mannequin rider and the bottom two photographs show a close-up of the upper and lower sections of the mannequin. As you can see the head as well as the chest can be re-positioned to suit the converter.

Above you see the two halves of the horse showing the pegs on one side and the holes on the other half. Dry-fitting this horse showed the tightest fit of any horse I have seen. Even at the neck there will be minimal filling needed.

Above you see the top and bottom of the tail and mane showing Sergey's attention to hair detail as well as motion.

Above you see the small parts of the kit. 2 stirrups, 2 bridle bits and the forelock of mane for the horse.

Horse fig 23.JPG

Above you see the dry-fitting of the horse from four different views. There was no glue or adhesives used and what you see is acyually how tight the horse halves fit. The bottom photograph shows the seam line at the neck and how well the joint fits that will need to be filled.

Above you see both sides of the horse with tail inserted into the corresponding hole for the tail. The three feet sit firmly on the ground for a well balanced stance.

Conclusion:
Without a doubt the best quality Mannequin and horse on the market today. Superb quality of resin and casting has been achieved by Author's Miniatures. With so many 75mm figures arriving on the market this Mannequin and especially the horse has unlimited possibilities as to their use.
Highly recommended.
