Nice idea although I think that the blue of the regular Prussian Infantry is not seen too often as well among miniatures - does he come with the special bayonet - "Hirschfänger"? - can`t see it on the pictures.
Cheers, Martin

Lovely sculpt as usual from Moz.

One point though - he looks to be square gaiting to me. That is arm and leg on each side in same relative position - right side both forward and left side both to rear. Doesn't look like a natural running posture.

Martin he is a work in progress and yes he does have the special bayonet. and a water Bottle they were just not attached to the photo but will be when we get him. we thought the green would be a good one for us but if someone wishes to do a conversion then it's up to them.

Chris the arm is in the process of being changed as I post. again this was just a heads up and not a finished product. but thanks for the input.

Cheers

Thanks for the explanation Ian. As you would know the arm ought to be in the opposite position to the leg on each side. This is one I am interested in purchasing and I look forward the finished product.

One of the biggest challenges in portraying a soldier running is the expression on his face. When I see a figure of a running soldier I assume he’s either under fire or running toward his colleagues who are engaging the enemy. He would presumably be under great stress or in a heightened state of excitement, but quite often figures look like the guy is out for a casual jog. They don't capture the emotion of the moment.

I appreciate the challenge in sculpting a face with that kind of expression, but I think it’s crucial to the overall effect of the figure.

Hi Steven, and the point is? does the figure not have that look is that what your getting at. it's just you make a statement and I for one don't know if it's directed at this figure or just in general.

Just wanted it clarifying so we know what to do next time we do a running figure.

Ho and before we get the usual debacle this is not getting at you steven, or anyone I just want to know if it was directed at this figurer or not. as we already moved the arm and answered the question about the equipment which was sculpted but was not on the photo. (It will be on the one that goes on the web site).

Cheers
