Jeff, John: Thanks guys, I appreciate it!
Billy: Thanks for including pics of your version, I enjoyed looking at them
! I understand your frustration regarding the camera. I picked up a nice digital one but somehow misplaced the battery charger
! So for now its more pics from the good ole cell phone!
Nick, Ralph, John Belcher, and Don, Thanks guys! I too consider this fig. a classic, and it turned out to be a really fun paint. And John, I say get one. You'll not be disappointed!
Mike: Yup its a little favorite all right, and thanks! Good luck to you in Chicago!
Colin, Marc: Thanks to you both! For the reds I used the Andrea 'Red set', helps to make life easier!
Cris: Thank you sir! As to the tartan, believe me I went at this with much trepidation
! I gave it a lot of thought and once I got going it progressed pretty smoothly. I had one little hiccup as to the sequencing of the different colored lines, but it was easily corrected. Overall I will tell you that I even surprised myself and it was a lot of fun to paint. The only thing I really messed up was the scabbard strap rings. I struggled with positioning the scabbard and all my manipulations managed to do was to break the rings off
. So no scabbard. Looks like nobody noticed anyhow
!
Xenofon: Thank you sir!
